As we approach the beginning of a new school year, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for the wonderful learning experiences and opportunities that lie ahead. We hope you and your families have had a restful and enjoyable summer. We also have great news to share with you!
IVY HILL PREP’S CHARTER HAS BEEN RENEWED FOR THREE MORE YEARS!
Thank you to all the parents and community members who have advocated, shared their positive experiences and continue to partner with us to strengthen our community. Next year, we will be prioritizing academic acceleration and student achievement and proficiency. Effective August 28, 2024, Ivy Hill Prep will be implementing a new rigorous curriculum across three content areas. See the details below:
Amplify (Reading/Writing/Phonics)
Amplify Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) is the leading early literacy curriculum grounded in the Science of Reading. With this new curriculum, our staff will be able to develop strong readers, writers, and thinkers. Ivy Hill Prep will also be using Amplify Boost Phonics. In the Amplify Boost program, each student’s learning experience is tailored just for them. The program focuses on developing a wide range of reading skills. Every step your child takes in the program is designed to meet them where they are and help them grow at their own pace.
Eureka Math (Math)
Eureka Math is designed to build a deep understanding of math over time. It focuses on key concepts that connect and grow each year, helping students remember and apply what they learn. Your child will use the same methods and models from one grade to the next, making math easier to understand and retain year after year.
Studies Weekly (Social Studies)
Studies Weekly is a student-friendly core Social Studies curriculum organized thematically to the strands of civics and government, geography, economics, and history.
Scholars can grapple with the curriculum using the student-friendly periodical format and robust online learning platform.

Uniform Expectations
To foster a sense of unity and focus on academics, we ask all students to adhere to our uniform policy. Ivy Hill Prep uniform is available for purchase in the main office OR online. Please find more information for online ordering here.
On a normal school day, every scholar must wear:
Ivy Hill Prep shirt (polo/button down), that is required to be tucked in
Khaki style pant or professional slacks/skirt (Colors: khaki, black)
The pants should fit on the hips. Scholars should wear the size of pants that would be appropriate to wear in a professional workplace. This means that very loose pants, baggy pants, or very tight pants are not acceptable. Shorts must fall one inch below the knee. The school has the authority to determine what pants and shorts are acceptable. Pants should fit snugly on the waist without a belt.

Belts should be worn if needed
Please ensure your child is dressed according to the uniform guidelines from the first day of school.
